The two-part commissioned work for the 175th anniversary of Harmonie Municipale Grevenmacher from the village of Grevenmacher - historically Machara - in Luxembourg is inspired by the dynamics, creativity and joie de vivre of the concert band. Peaceful and exciting times are alternately reflected in virtuoso and melodic qualities, orchestral splendour and soberly orchestrated passages.
